LAMDA Speech & Drama Exams

Originally training as a psychiatric nurse, Sylvia had a career break in order to travel overseas with her husband and then to have children. During this time she decided to pursue her lifetime interest in speech and drama and retrain as a drama teacher, specializing in voice skills.

She has taught children and young adults, both groups and individuals in a variety of situations, both at schools and privately at home. Drawing on skills honed during her previous career, she has enjoyed teaching children with challenging behaviours and special needs.

Sylvia has also taught presentation and public speaking to adults, mainly in the business environment in the form of bespoke classes to fit the individual needs of clients.
